About Sneed's Nursery | Commitment to sustainability

Sneed’s has carried the Espoma Organics product line for years, but in January of 2008 we decided to take it one step further. We canned the chemicals and now offer organic solutions to our customer’s gardening needs and issues. We are carrying rain barrels and composters, promoting edible landscapes and rain gardens, and encouraging responsible water and fertilizer use to decrease our impact on the James River.

The world’s dwindling honey bee population is a concern for everyone because it means there won’t be pollinators for fruit and vegetable production. Our mason bee nest kits attract a native bee that also pollinates. No yard should be without one! Sneed’s is your local source for products that enable you to create a more sustainable environment right in your own back yard.

Here in the garden center, our personal Green Mission is to lower our impact on the environment around us through composting, recycling, and better water/energy conservation.
