June 10, noon

  • 1 hour
  • 5 US dollars
  • 8756 W. Huguenot Rd.

Service Description

Jacob will discuss the importance of looking at our yards generally, and our planted areas in particular, as a part of the overall environment, and the impact that that can have on the overall health of wildlife populations. Correspondingly, Jacob will talk about wildlife corridors and how to turn your property into one. He will also discuss why planting native species is infinitely more valuable to this purpose than using non-natives, hybrids, or so-called nativars. He will also touch on individual species one can plant to attract individual animals, as well as species that are particularly valuable for attracting a wide range of wildlife.
