MYO Bird Nesting Spheres
Oct 5, 11am
Service Description
Calling all bird enthusiasts!! Join Eva, a local fiber artist and enthusiast to make your very own bird nesting sphere. She procures and processes local wools and uses them in a variety of artwork and offers others a hands-on experience within the community. Bird nesting spheres provide warm and water-resistant material that birds will use to build their nests. The wool inside these nesting spheres will protect the eggs and young by keeping them warm and dry. Gathering materials and construction of a nest can take a bird anywhere between a couple hours to weeks. Placing these nesters made with grapevine twigs in your yard, birds can reduce the amount of time it takes to build a nest and provides enjoyable bird watching! Participants will receive one 4-inch grapevine sphere. You can choose from a variety of local wools and learn how to stuff the sphere and create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind nester for the birds in your yard.
